About us

Three founders, one shared standard: building the cloud infrastructure we would have wanted as customers ourselves. European, secure and sustainably operated.

Why we started Zenoyd

We have spent years working in international organisations, on cloud infrastructure, security solutions and IT operations. Four observations convinced us to build something of our own.

  • European providers aren't competitive enough

The market is dominated by a handful of US hyperscalers. European providers do exist, but head-to-head, their feature set, tooling and pricing are not at a level that gives small and mid-sized businesses real freedom of choice.

  • Data centres optimise for profit, not efficiency

Electricity is the biggest operating cost of any data centre, yet most facilities still run tuned for margin rather than for consumption per workload. Efficiency and sustainability stay secondary. We think it can be done better.

  • Local IT becomes unaffordable

AI-capable hardware, modern security tooling and the specialist knowledge required, from patch management to incident response, are increasingly hard to operate cost-effectively at SMB scale. The road leads to the cloud. The only question is whose cloud.

  • Security and compliance have become their own discipline

GDPR, NIS2, professional attackers: requirements grow faster than internal teams can carry on the side. With hyperscalers, security is an add-on package: paid, opaque, hard to audit. We believe these tasks belong on a platform built for exactly this purpose, as the standard, not as an extra.

What we hold ourselves to

  • Value 01

Data centres consume electricity: we are not going to pretend otherwise.

We plan hardware, utilisation and cooling so that every kilowatt-hour does as much useful work as possible. Efficiency before marketing, immersive cooling is on the roadmap.

  • Value 02

Security is not an add-on. It is the architecture.

Zero-trust, mTLS between services, mandatory MFA, documented incident-response paths: that is not the enterprise tier. That is the default.

  • Value 03

You should always know where your data lives and what you are paying for.

Clean invoices without asterisks, documented data locations, audit-ready access logs. No fine print that surprises you later.

  • Value 04

If we are not the right provider for your case, we will tell you.

Rather than selling a setup that doesn't fit, we'd rather recommend someone who fits better. We are here for the next ten years, not the next quarterly close.

Marc Möller

Infrastructure Engineer

Three decades in the IT services industry, from the first network card to the modern data centre. At Zenoyd he runs hardware, networking and the physical operation of the platform in Hamburg.

marc.moeller@zenoyd.de

Headquartered in Hamburg

Our cluster runs in production in a German data centre in Hamburg, with redundant power, professional cooling and controlled physical access. Data and operations are subject exclusively to German and European law.

Our platform is operated from Hamburg, where architecture, operations and customer relations converge. We expand geographically in deliberate steps: a second German site is prepared for 2027, with further European regions to follow from 2028. Your platform stays European and gains both resilience and geographic proximity. More on the location roadmap on the Vision page.

Let's get to know each other.

Let's figure out together how Zenoyd can make your IT infrastructure safer and more predictable. We give you a concrete answer, even when that answer is "we are not the right provider for your case".
